Chris Schmidt - Chris Schmidt

Hello, my name is Chris Schmidt, and I am co-founder and former managing director of scribes @ ASU, a creative writing club that promotes the social, cultural, and academic interests of students enrolled in a literature-based degree program at Arizona State University. Further, I recently served as Nonfiction Editor and Interview Coordinator for Superstition Review, ASU’s online literary magazine, where I worked directly with authors, as well as composing and editing content for publication. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Literature, Writing & Film in December of 2010, with a focus on document production, multimedia writing, technical editing, and creative writing. Additional hands-on experience includes the use of InDesign and Dreamweaver, various types of copywriting and design to include articles, company brochures, business cards, research papers, and also the development of my own website through ASU. Currently, I am working on a collection of personal essays and gaining a better working knowledge of social/networking media, including blogging. In January I am excited to begin an editorial internship with InWithSkin, and I just received certification as a substitute teacher in the State of Arizona.
